John Hilferty was awarded a Pulitzer Reward in 1980 while reporting on Three Mile Atoll for the Philadelphia Inquirer. In addition, he reported on the James Hoffa disappearance in 1975 and the New Jersey mob's r in the matter. His prose style reflects the tight, trenchant writing necessary to be successful in hard-hitting journalism - a kind requiring some modification to create a novel. He has achieved this for the most section, writing a book that keeps the reader interested by combining a fast-moving story with a lavish sprinkling of non-fictional characters from the Mafia families of New York and New Jersey and, of circuit, incorporating Hoffa's disappearance into the plot without fetching too many liberties with the facts now known to envelop Hoffa's demise. If this reviewer has any quarrel with From the Unfeeling, it is that a bit of further editing of both descriptive details as in all probability as with mob and police related dialogue would add greater sageness to the story. Inconceivable source of valuable information
This is by far the fundamental source of information on the exciting casino chip collectible sideline. This is not merely a price guide like most of the other books on casino chips that i give birth to seen, but a remarkable full color display of the rarest chips i eat seen. In addition, the history of some of the casinos and the use of casino chips beyond the last century is delightfully represented. The best interest about the book is the invaluable Grading System set up by the authors. This unprecedented way is of utmost importance for any serious chip collector. Aside from all of this, even-handed seeing all the full-colored pictures of the actual casino chips makes this hard-cover one that should be on everyone's book shelf. A Stable MASTERPIECE!

A Be required to for Casino Chip Collectors and Gaming History Buffs
If you accumulate casino chips, or are just interested in the history of casinos and casino chips, then this record is a must. Every conceivable chip from justifiable about every casino that ever existed is displayed. Chips are all listed with an estimated value which is unequivocally useful, especially for the casual collector like myself. There is a comprehensive discussion of chip characteristics and grading criteria. The investigation that went into this book is exceptional. Mr. Campiglia has painstakingly documented sales, scarcity and the portrayal of each and every chip. The book is well laid out with color photos of each token and many photos of the casinos they came from. There are also innumerable interesting factoids and anecdotes pertaining to the history of casinos in America. I extremely enjoyed this book and refer to it often as I base my collection. I give this book my highest direction.
